The Fort Wayne Library has twenty laptop computers available for use by currently enrolled students. Laptops may be checked out for one 8 week class term at a time and will be due the Monday following end of term. They may be checked out again at the start of a new term. Students taking 16 week classes will need to renew after 8 weeks. Spring 2025 Due Dates: Monday, March 13th and Monday, May 12th.
Only Ivy Tech Fort Wayne students who meet the following conditions may check out laptop computers:
- have a recommendation from an Ivy Tech Fort Wayne faculty member in whose class they are currently enrolled,
- have no outstanding fines or overdue materials from the Ivy Tech Fort Wayne library.
- students must present their current Ivy Tech ID card or a Photo ID and their C Number to check out laptops.
Students may also check out laptop computers for use within the library. Students do not have to meet the above requirements to use laptops within the library, but must present their Ivy Tech ID during the checkout process.
To borrow a laptop have a faculty member to email us to tell library staff he/she believes that the student is responsible and can be trusted with the computer. Faculty should email us from their Ivy Tech email accounts, to: fw-lib-laptops@ivytech.edu
