Where do I find peer reviewed articles?

Peer reviewed articles are a special type of academic article that has been reviewed by others in the field before it gets published. Most of our databases will let you filter your results to only include peer reviewed journals:

  1. Start by choosing a database related to your topic.
  2. Enter your search terms and hit enter or click search.
  3. Look for Filters or Refine Results at the side or top of your search results. If you're on a mobile device, you may need to open the menu to see this option.
  4. Select the option that mentions Peer Reviewed journal or scholarly articles.

You can also use Discover Search, which searches many of our databases at once.

  1. Use the links on the right side of the page to limit your results
  2. Under Limiter click Peer Reviewed Journals
  3. You can also limit results by Published Date, Subject and more.
  4. The video below shows how to search with Discover
