Where do I find peer reviewed scholarly articles?

Peer reviewed articles are a special type of academic article that has been reviewed by others in the field before it gets published. They are also called scholarly or academic articles. You can find them in our databases. 

  1. For many topics, Academic Search Complete is a good place to start.
  2. Enter your search terms and hit enter or click search.
  3. Look for Filters or Refine Results at the left side of your search results. 
  4. Select the option that mentions Peer Reviewed journal or scholarly articles.

Or start with Discover Search, which searches many of our databases at once. 
  1. Use the links on the right side of the page to limit your results
  2. Under Limiter click Peer Reviewed Journals
  3. You can also limit results by Published Date, Subject and more.
